Sometimes loved ones try to veto other loved ones… “You have to choose! Her or me!” But sometimes they try to veto parts of YOU… “You can’t be part of this family unless you’re straight and monogamous!” “Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman” And it can be devastating when a loved one can’t meet you where you’re at right now. “Are you going to break your mother’s heart?” But them framing it as YOUR choice isn’t the whole story.
